Creamy Leek, Smoky Sausage and Turkey Bacon pasta

Shopping list

  • 1 x Mattessons Smoked Pork Sausage (Original)

  • 1x Mattessons Smoked Turkey Rashers

  • 400g Tortiglioni or Penne Pasta

  • 10x Cherry Tomatoes

  • 2x Spring Onions

  • 1x Leek

  • 100ml milk

  • 200g Cheddar Cheese (Grated)

Directions

Put a large saucepan on to boil . Whilst you are waiting for the water to boil, chop the cherry tomatoes in half & cut the spring onion into small, thin circles. Cut the leek down the middle, wash it under a running cold tap and then chop it thinly.

Add the pasta to the boiling water. Cut the Turkey Rashers into strips and Smoked Pork Sausage into small squares.

Add a tablespoon of olive oil to a small frying pan, and add the strips of Turkey Rasher. Once browned, turn the heat low & add the Smoked Pork Sausage, spring onion, cherry tomatoes and the leeks.

In a small saucepan, add the milk and the cheese. On a low heat, leave the cheese to melt into the milk and then remove off the heat.

Drain the pasta, and return back to the pan. Add the cheese sauce and stir till the pasta is covered. Then stir in the Turkey Rasher strips, Smoked Pork Sausage, spring onion, cherry tomatoes and the leeks and stir in well.

Season and serve in small bowls.
